UhmeCam is a site for one-on-one chats with people you have not met. You can be matched at random by video, voice or text, or open the list of people online and pick someone yourself. From a profile you can follow someone, send a message or start a video chat. Typed messages can appear in your language automatically. There are also short videos to scroll and a Live tab where you can watch streams. It runs in the browser and can be added to your home screen; there is nothing to install.
The Privacy Policy explains each item, why we need it and how long it is kept.
UhmeCam is free to start. New users get free matches, and the Reward Center at the top of the match screen gives out more while you stay online, more than once a day. When those run out, matching uses coins. VIP membership adds extras for a set period. Coins cannot be cashed out or passed to another person. You always see the price before anything is charged.
Messages you send are delivered to the other person and kept so you can both scroll back through the conversation. Text messages can be translated automatically by a translation provider; voice and video are not translated. The person you talk to sees what you send, your display name and anything you put on your profile. They do not see your email, phone number or address, because UhmeCam never asks you to share those with other users.
Keep in mind that the other person can always keep a copy of what you share by taking a screenshot or filming their screen. No website can prevent that completely, so the safest approach is to leave out anything you would not want kept.
Your guest session is stored in the browser you use. On a shared computer, anyone who opens the same browser afterwards may land in your session, with your follows and messages. When you finish on a device that is not yours, clear the site data for uhmecam.com or use a private browsing window from the start.
On your own phone, adding UhmeCam to the home screen keeps the session in one place and makes it easier to come back to people you followed. If you lend your phone to someone, remember that the shortcut opens straight into your session, just like any other app that stays signed in.
Data requests, payment questions, appeals and anything else that needs a person go to [email protected]. Tell us what you want, roughly when it happened and which device you used. To report a user quickly, use the Report option on their profile; email us when you need to explain more than the options allow. If you think someone underage is using UhmeCam, email us straight away. Requests about your own information are answered from the same address, so there is never a separate form to find or a second account to create.
You will find the latest update date at the top of every document. When the service changes, the relevant document is updated, and this summary is updated with it so the short version never drifts away from the full text. If a change affects how your information is used in an important way, we will also say so on the site itself rather than relying on you to notice a new date.
