UhmeCam Privacy Policy
UhmeCam lets you meet people one at a time on camera, by voice or by typing. Doing that means we handle some information about you. This page lists that information in plain words, explains what each part is for, names the kinds of companies that help us, and tells you what you can ask us to change. Questions go to [email protected].

This policy covers everyone who opens uhmecam.com, whether you arrived a minute ago as a guest or have used the site for months, on a phone, a tablet, a computer or a home-screen shortcut. It starts applying on your first visit, because a guest session is created as soon as the site loads so that matching can work at all.
When this page says “we”, “us” or “UhmeCam”, it means the team that operates uhmecam.com. When it says “you”, it means the person using the site.
To connect a camera or voice chat, your audio and video have to pass between you and the other person through our service and the providers we use for real-time connections. Text sent during a match or through Messages is delivered and stored so that both of you can see the conversation.
If a text message is translated automatically, its words are sent to a translation provider so they can be returned in another language. We use that step only to translate.
Remember that the other person is a real human with their own device. They can see and hear what you share and may remember it, and we have no control over what someone does on their side of the screen. Think before you share a face, a room or a detail you would not want repeated.
We rely on other companies for parts of the work: hosting and content delivery, real-time audio and video connections, payment processing, translation, error tracking and basic analytics. Each receives only what it needs for its task and is expected to protect it.
Selling your personal information is not part of how UhmeCam makes money. We may share it when the law requires us to, when it is needed to protect someone from serious harm, or as part of a sale or merger of the service, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.
We keep information while it is useful for the purposes above. Session data and usage events are kept for a limited period and then removed or reduced to totals. Purchase records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Reports and the material attached to them may be kept longer when they are needed to deal with repeated abuse.
If you ask us to delete your data, we remove what we can and keep only what we are obliged to retain, such as payment records.
We use technical and organisational measures that fit the kind of service we run, including encrypted connections between your browser and our servers and limited staff access. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use the site with the same care you would use anywhere online.
UhmeCam is not meant for anyone below the minimum age set in our Terms of Service, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe someone underage is using the site, email [email protected] and we will act on it.
When the service changes, this policy is updated and the date at the top moves. If a change matters a lot, we will say so on the site as well. For anything about your information, write to [email protected] and tell us roughly when and on which device you used UhmeCam, so we can find what you mean.
